More than 1,000 students have enjoyed Apiamigues.

After the first edition in 2020 held in the schools of Els Ports region, the Apiamigues project has reached the schools in the Alt and Baix Maestrat regions. A total of 20 schools have been able to participate in the initiative promoted by Apivillores.

The company responsible for the project highly values the outcome of this proposal, as it has led to various projects being developed by the students in different towns, fulfilling their objectives of engaging in "service-learning". This type of experience allows students to acquire new knowledge and apply it to their local reality, contributing to the improvement of their environment based on the values of a more sustainable world.

During the previous year, some of the projects proposed in Els Ports region had a significant impact. For example, the creation of a "cootie catcher" game about bees, designed by the second-cycle primary school children in Forcall, gained recognition from the Friends of Bees Foundation at the national level for its originality. It was edited, printed, and distributed by different schools throughout Spain.

From now on, the members of Apivillores continue to work on preparing new proposals for the upcoming school year within the Apiamigues project, as well as planning a new season of visits to the Villores bee yard. They hope to welcome new groups of students starting in March.

The project for schools has been included within the strategies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency, and Ecological Transition, with funding for educational and training projects and dissemination for agroecological dynamization strategies in the Valencia Community.
